The Digital Voice Command (DVC) from Honeywell NOTIFIER is at the heart of a full-featured audio command centre, capable of providing voice evacuation for Emergency Communications and Mass Notification applications. The ability to play 8 simultaneous messages and network multiple DVCs across a campus or within a large facility enables the system to deliver the right message to the right people every time. This capability allows for an appropriate and targeted response for any type of emergency or non-emergency event, as well as to broadcast general information. The fire-fighters/emergency telephone option enables two-way communication between command centres and distributed emergency telephones.
The DS-DB Digital Series Distribution Board from the Honeywell NOTIFIER family provides digital bulk audio evacuation capability to the Digital Voice Command (DVC) system while retaining digital audio distribution capabilities. It converts digital audio to analogue and routes it to audio amplifiers and optional backups. Control and status information passes between the DS-DB and its components via EIA-485 bus. The device communicates with the rest of the digital audio system through the DAL (digital audio loop), and takes up two of the 32 DAL addresses. When combined with the DS series amplifier, the DS-DB board can reduce required hardware in both new and retrofit applications. It is also well-suited for upgrade/retrofit of existing bulk audio systems.
The Honeywell NOTIFIER DAA2 Series of amplifiers are multi-featured digital audio amplifiers with digital audio functionality. Each device is capable of playing up to two of 8 channels of digital audio. It can also play up to two different messages simultaneously (with the optional BDA amplifier). It also includes a firefighter/emergency telephone riser circuit and remote paging microphone circuit. The DAA2 has two wire digital audio ports to connect to wire DAL (digital audio loop) segments. Either or both ports may be converted to fibre using fibre option modules.
The Honeywell NOTIFIER DAX Series multi-featured amplifiers provide an economical alternative for applications that do not require all of the features of DAA2 or DAA Series Amplifiers. DAX amplifiers come in 35 watt and 50 watt models. The BDA Backup Digital Amplifier can be used with all DAX models to provide one-to-one amplifier backup. The DAX has two wire digital audio ports to connect to wire DAL segments.
The Honeywell NOTIFIER DS-AMP amplifiers provide digital bulk audio evacuation capability to the Digital Voice Command (DVC) system. Up to four DS-AMP amplifiers can be connected to one DS-DB to supply high-level audio. Backup audio circuits are available by adding DS-BDA or dedicated DS-AMPs.
The Honeywell NOTIFIER Fireman’s Phone Jack (FPJ) includes a receptacle that is semi-flush mounted with a single-gang box (box is not furnished with receptacle). The receptacle has a single phone jack mounted on an attractive, single- gang, stainless steel plate. Colour-coded wires are prewired to the jack to enable fast and accurate wiring to the system.
